You cannot imagine how annoying it is to come out of something important to answer a non-urgent (bloody bullshit) bleep It is very annoying to be bleeped 3+ times in the space of 5 minutes for non-urgent things because to me, if you’ve bleeped that many times it must be enough of an emergency for me to drop whatever I’m in the middle of doing to answer. If your request is urgent, you should either fast bleep, bleep within 5 minutes or again, contact a senior If it really isn’t urgent at all, find out the referral method (which may be an email or on a system) If still no response, contact someone more senior or another member of the team. Yes there will be people who just don’t answer 1 off bleeps, however I’ve found that they are the minorityīleep once, if they don’t respond (edit) in 20-30 mins, bleep again. In my experience, if someone does not answer a bleep right away, 95% of the time, it is because they are busy.
